Save Our City Revival and Recovery Walk

Join us Aug. 29-31 at Orlando Baptist Church. Door Open at 6:00 PM.

We have all heard about the negative impact drugs, crime and addiction have on society — but have you considered the positive impact one radically changed drug addict can have?

Freeway Florida’s Save Our City Revival will bring together local churches and organizations in Central Florida to effect real change in the lives of all our neighbors — especially those struggling with addiction, mental health, poverty or homelessness. Whether you’re searching for hope or looking for a way you can make a difference, we welcome you!

John Stroup, Executive Director at Freeway Ministries, will preach throughout the weekend.

This three-night “Save Our City Revival '' runs Aug. 29-31 at Orlando Baptist Church, 500 S. Semoran Blvd, Orlando. Doors open at 6 p.m. for access to education and resources from Central Florida organizations dedicated to sharing the life-changing hope of Jesus Christ. At 7 p.m., revival services begin, with powerful testimonies, God-centered worship and a challenging message from John Stroup, Freeway Ministry’s founder and author of multiple books. Child care is available for children five years and under.

On Aug. 31, join the Save Our City Recovery Walk, the culmination of Freeway’s Save Our City Revival. The walk starts at Orlando Baptist Church. Registration begins at 9 a.m., and the walk begins at 9:30 a.m.

Invite your friends to hear transformative testimonies and Gospel messages

Why walk? Aug. 31 is recognized as International Overdose Awareness Day. It’s the world's largest annual campaign to end overdose, remember those lost to overdose, acknowledge the grief of family and friends left behind, and celebrate the lives of those who have overcome addiction.

We believe the positive impact on our community will be exponential when former addicts, convicts, and their families join with law enforcement agencies and pillars of the community to show solidarity that recovery and restoration can be achieved and maintained. Together we can make a difference in the lives of many that society has given up on.

Freeway Ministries is an international non-profit organization committed to providing care, counseling and discipleship classes to help transform addicts’ lives from hopelessness to productive citizenship. Freeway’s weekly outreach provides free meals, clothing, transportation and Bible services for this hard to reach population. Our ministry also extends within the walls of prisons and jail cells. Florida recognizes our one-year residential program as an alternative to prison. Our mission is to reach the hard to reach, ONE BROKEN LIFE AT A TIME.
